I saw just abit of the Sheild series finale.
Sooooo...what happened now?
Is Vic on the streets at night, unofficially?

Vic has lost everything and is put on desk duty for ICE.
If he leaves he fails his part of the Immunity and he goes straight to prison.
The ending was left open.
I imagine when they have time ,in between "Fantastic Four "movies,they will ,perhaps have follow up specials on the "Shield".

Very crappy ending,same as the Sopranos.

I get the idead that he picked-up his pistol and left the office building, to build, wheel and deal another big street deal, in order to barter up and out of his immunity situation.

I think it's one of the following two:
1. He's going to bust Ronnie out
2. He's going to go find his kids

I thought it ended pretty well.  i don't like stories that jam a bunch of stuff at the end just so everything has a nice bow on it. i was a little disappointed in how surprised Vic seemed to be that they stuck him behind a desk; this was a guy smart enough to get away with all sorts of shit, but couldn't seem to wrap his head around the fact that people could hate him after he admitted to killing another cop. immunity isn't absolution.

I think the ending was geared to show those of us that liked Vic that we liked a a Murdering,Robbing,out for himself piece of Garbage.
Even though the others had traces of Vic in them.

I was hoping  the ending would be Vic figuring out he and Ronnie had No Chance of just having their lives and carrying on, and they would go out in a Big firefight with Police,ICE and Drug dealers.
He and Ronnie would have been honored as Heroes.
Claudette would have stroked out at the Ceromony claiming Ronnie and Vic Heroes.

That to me would have been better than Ole Vic tied to a desk for 3 years,looking out the window at the action.
(or he could have taken the pistol and put it in his mouth like Shane did)

Leave the shows with endings not possible openings for future specials.

I got all the 4 Seasons of "The Shield". My favorite and the only TV series that I watch. I love the street realism, the complelling characters, and the stories. Heck, it even influenced me to become bald, although I did it mainly for convenience, and even gave me my Username based on the Chiklis cop. Can't wait for the next season to start again. But until "The Shield" has its final season finale and has a satisfying ending, I don't plan on buying the other seasons past "Season 4". But as far as the fate of Vic goes, I think this will happen in certain ways/lots of possibilities:
-resign/retire from the force
-destitute just like Joe Clarke, his mentor
-in prison, just like his Nemesis, Antoine Mitchell
-killed in the line of duty
-physical/mental health deteriorates

*Regardless of the outcome, it's a kick@$$ TV series and I wouldn't watch anything else.
