Well, it looks stupid.

But I guess looks aren't everything.

This is not a new idea, its been around since blackpowder. If anything stands out its the promotional video, It lacked any testing and use of the knife. I suspect the picitany rail is not very strong but I would like to see it punished to see how it would hold up.

As far as the history of the concept goes, there were knives made into pistols, pistols made into knives, and every combination one can dream up already produced and sold in the past. This is currently the only one on the market that I have seen based on modern pistols.

Myself and many others have played around with this idea for some time, it will be very interesting to see if the idea catches on.

Here is one of Bruce Bumps modern classic pistol knives.

Seems to me that any slash with the knife mounted that way would disarm the pistol from the hand???

Cut vs. shooting the guy.............probably will shoot him!

Would need a weird holster...

Would scare a victim if waived in his face....

I am not a knife fighter but that looks to me  to be akward.

I just can't see a situation that would allow me to carry and draw with this toy attached.  Gimmicky and in the way.

If I want a blade pulled at the same time with my handgun, then I would tether a small knife in the open hand in reverse grip position. Tethered being attached using Koppo stick type tether looped around my two largest fingers, so I can still do 2 hand grip shooting, reload mags, hold flashlights, and use full grip without "dropping" the knife.

It goes right up there with lasers, another toy to get in the way of drawing, shooting, reloading, holstering.

uh... not feelin it, man.  atleast not as a real piece of equipment, it'd be funnier than heck as a gag gift.

i guess it could aid in weapon retention, a little.
