Nice to seek Hock represent!  Actually, great video, very practical.  I think we'll work that scenario today during ground day!  Thanks, Hock!

Co-starring Tom "The Arnold" Barnhart in that clip.

I do not own that clip or I would order if off the air.

TRS owns it and the very best training and moments of that little 10 year-old, video tape set, are "on the cutting room floor" as they say, and never made it into the videos. TOO Violent! They say and looking back? I agree.

(those lost moments were revised into our newer knife DVDs)

Hiock- i have watched that a couple times-excellent instruction- in addition i had watched a "martial artist" teach knife defense on another vidio-when he was on the ground he started to get up by doing what you do not recommend-he turns his back on the opponent-first thing i thought of was your vidio and how to get up safely-if this instructor had not finished the opponent he would have been in big trouble--WW (ELB)

Hock,

So we worked it in class today, and they liked it.  We worked some alternatives, "what-ifs' and such.  But it was very practical, no-nonsense, and useful.  Thanks!

The best parts were on the cutting room.

(One scene Barnhart tackles me in a parking lot. We crashed into a new truck and severely dented the fender. Of course, I gut and kill him)

Yes he guts and kills me after he grinds me into the gravel and asphalt in the parking lot.
Thanks for the memories, the glass filled parking lots, the snap kicks to the crotch, rattan sticks to my head thinking I was dead, but thank you Hock for the memories!
Hell, I even had brown hair back then!

  Wizard,

I checked to see if TRS still had it available on their site and it was still in the products section.  They are asking $99 for the 2 (video) set. This is the first time I've been on TRS in years and they're still singing the same old song, but there are some gems buried in all crap (Hock, Mike G, Hatmaker).

This is actually a decent set that I bought years ago since nobody was addressing the topic of ground knife work at the time.

Ah!  But all your hard work was recognized when Mrs. Rawhide saw you in all your glory in your purple shirt and officially announced - "Tom, you look smashing in purple."  Did that not make all the trial and tribulation worth it?   What a legacy....!
