I am not sure about this figure at all. The original quote for "14,000 harmed by guns" but I have no idea where that number comes from. Could be more or could be less.

Simple answer, Brian S. There are some that own guns illegally and commit crimes with them. And there are some that are just mentally unstable or incompetent/immature. Like I stated earlier, there are also statistics of criminals too that were killed by law enforcement or legally-armed citizens. And those stats are not gonna change my pro-gun views. It's the price we pay for gun ownership. Life and death are what it is here in the US.
