Got them last year at the CrossFit Games. A lot of competitors used them. I got mine for 35.00 norm 85-100. I thought for $35 why not try them. Nice to run in.

How about for on the mats?
Any hint of ...lack of cushioning for your knees, back, etc?

I would love to get a pair of these, but the price tag of $85 has definitely turned me off.  I'd get them at $35 in a heartbeat.

Not to go into too much depth that has already been covered, but I've read a number of first hand accounts by people like me (who have significant knee problems that bother them during normal running) who have experienced a tremendous improvement through using these.  I personally am very inclined to believe both the reasoning and results behind barefoot running (really can't do it here) and using these shoes.  Thankfully, they now have an all black model of the KSO model so it doesn't look too weird.  However, it has crossed my mind to wonder what Nick's opinion would be if I show up wearing a pair.

They go with the whole Barefoot running crowd (Pose running, Chi Running). They say the cushioning comes from your Arch on up, working together to support your weight in a more natural way while running.

I got them & tried them out at CrossFit. I have better feel of the ground while lifting and they weight next to nothing when doing footwork drills. Walked my dogs (real dogs, not my feet dogs) in them & can feel every change in the pavement, dirt, gravel....mind you...you do feel the really sharp rock under foot, but still allow you walk the terrain of run it nicely.

I have to go to the Foot Dr. do to my feet killing me by the end of the day. I think it is duo to my work boots. I went and got foot supports from the store & they work a little while & then the pain came back.

The only time my feet do not hurt are in my wrestling shoes with the supports in them (tied real tight), or in those Five Fingers. Also barefoot.

They (barefoot running crowd) are saying that all of are knee problems come from running wrong our whole lives.

They feel really weird between your toes. And every now and then I catch grass, sticks, & small pebbles between the toes. Nothing painful just a weird feeling. But these things make my feet feel great.
