Instructor Smith,
I Have a Full FIST suit.
I know all suits have limitations and I KNOW that when I put it on,whether it be as an UKE,the assistant to the instrucotr who takes the hits during the instruction
or
Wearing the suit as an Instructor to allow students to step up the level of intensity, even to those who are regular students, they get carried away.
The SUIT gives the impression that attacks can be more violent,a bit harder,a bit more realistic,so it is an agreed to situation,an expected result as this is what we put the suit on for .
We wear the suit to allow the students, the trainees, to hit with more intent.
This is not a surprise to those who have been around the Martial arts and training.
The suit takes/absorbs a large portion of the impact, better than in the days of training without the suits and or without protective gear, which you are aware of since you started training before most of the gear and the suits were available.
Sorry if you did not appreciate my response ,but the fact that you agreed to wear the suit, and the fact that you did not have the Instructor, who asked you to wear the suit, to define, and enforce, the limits of attack, then you are at fault as much as the Instructor.
You could have declined to wear the suit, since you claim you knew that once they said how they would come at you,you knew they would do it and try to hurt you.
If knowing the injury level was raised and you still went ahead ,then again the fault is shared between you and the instructor.
Sorry my answer does not fit with the answer you seem to want.
All the Best.
