A man called Hawk
« on: February 22, 2010, 06:41:57 PM »

OOOOO Boy, A man called Hawk marathon was on Sunday, I must have watched 13 hours worth. I loved that show back in the 80s. So much that when friends would ask me who I was training with these days and I would say Hock, they would look at me sort of crazy like. Hawk was bad to the bone. He had style and was always very eloquent before beating the hell out of someone. It stared Avery Brooks and was a spin off of Spencer for hire with Robert Uric, which was another really good show. I found it hard at times to watch Avery in Deep Space Nine at times. I was always waiting for him to pull out that 10" 357 and blow someone away.
Did anyone watch the Equalizer with Edward Woodward? Wasn't on for long, but it was also really good.  TV just really sucks now.

Hawk was one of the coolest side kicks on TV with Spencer, but it went off the air as a solo show in one year? But Brooks was COOL. (in everything he did)

Man I remember all those shows and they were great.  Arnold as a side note last year I got to hang out at a local gun club where Borgnine was filming a movie (I think it was called "Harvest Moon?".  Spent about 20 minutes talking with him and he was one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met.

Avery Brooks was also a professor at Rutgers, unfortunately I never got a chance to meet him in person , that would have been very cool
