David Herbert is a NYC Hapkido and Taekwondo Instructor who also has training in Jujitsu with Soke Lil John Davis.
I have trained with Master Herbert .
We have several of his former students training at our school as they sought a more Realistic application of Hapkido.
Not that his training cannot be street usable ,just that they trained A LOT on the  high  throws ,rolls and high kicks which are not really street applicable.
They also train a lot from the static rather than dynamic situations which will have an effect on the outcome if grabbed , pushed or pulled rather than just standing there.
His demonstrations though are good,as they are well worked demonstrations.

I am surprised that his teaching is not more realistic, especially as he has trained with Lil John Davis.

my opinion
