Burt in Burned
« on: July 23, 2010, 06:49:46 PM »

I don't know if anyone saw it last night (July 22, 2010) but there was a magic, action guy  moment on TV...

I make it a point not to miss Burn Notice on USA. You know, the burned spy story in Miami, Florida. Its just damn fun and everyone in it does a great job. Last night out of nowhere, Burt Reynolds was a guest. To appreciate the great moment I will describe, you have to watch these two short clips...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lQR3OfM_TA
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_64Np48EEs

Okay..now the best part is NOT YET on the old youtube. The plot continues and the good guys capture the Russian team holding them all at gun point. Arrest pending. The head Ruskie says that he will hunt down and torture Reynolds no matter what happens.

Burt shoots the unarmed Ruskie dead right in the heart! Sam and Weston order Reynolds to put down his gun. Burt doesn't. He looks at Weston and says very cool and calmly,

"Wha? You can't shoot a Russian who invades Miami, Florida?"

Okay...ya' gotta' be there. Gotta' see it but it was a VERY cool moment in action guy film lore. And its not yet on YouTube!

Could be the last film Reynolds does. In the show he punched out bad guys, in a shootout, car chase, beats up a Congressman and kills a Ruskie agent.

Here's looken' at you Burt...

Burn Notice is a show we never miss. It's cool and like you said Hock, fun. 24 was tense, but BN is just plain fun.

Never miss it. Plus it's got Bruce Campbell just chewing up scenes.

And Gabriel Anwar, she is hot just breathing then she picks up a shotgun and throws a couple shots towards the bad guys with the best of them.

Bruce was at the ComicCon and he and USA announced that he will have his own Sam movie about him getting out of the SEALs and on to Miami.

He does shew up the scenes but he is a really good "Mr Spock" to Weston.

The conversation with Bruce is on Youtube with the Burn Notice video clips.

But I would love to go there and sell my knife book. Might just do that one of these years.
Exhibiting might cost a fortune though.

(I only watch G4 for the chicks, but hasn't "Wonder Woman gone over to the Daily Show? When Robin Webb leaves? I am so outta' there.)

Ha,  I hear ya..I watch it for pretty much the same reason , plus that damn "Ninja Warrior" show.  I just find it addictive to watch.  My cousin John has been there the past 4-5 years and always has great stories, he's there because is in the video gaming business and not in a small way.  Hey, maybe you should consult as a combatives expert for combat based games.

Yeah, they've been showing that in the UK and it's a good show all around.
