You know, I almost feel bad for bumping this back up, but I was thinking about it, and I feel it is relevant to point out that Bryan apparently believes that having the Taliban back in control of Afghanistan would be a good thing.

I dare you to deny the accuracy of this statement, Bryan.

Ive been offline and not around much lately so just finding this.

Kent, What I do believe is you have a naive view of the universe. Maybe half the people on the US payroll over there are former Taliban. Many of the Taliban are Pashtun, when this is all said and done we will have made deals with Pashtun. Karzai and family were a joke from the start, we should have made our deals with the Pashtun from day one. There are mostly financial reasons we did not, not moral or ethical reasons.

What many here tend to forget is I was part of the generation that viewed Russia and Communist as devils, I trained to kill them and believed we would be at war with them till the end of time. Back then even the right wing Christians saw the Russians as the Antichrist and preached and preached about them. Then a few years ago you guys hero George Bush looked into a Russians eyes and told everyone he was honest, could be trusted, that was a huge disappointment to me. Back then the Mujaheddin was a bunch of Commie killing freedom fighters and I still remember that. 

I like fighting, on a personal level and a grand scale. I'm American and believe in America, I have not ever taken a side against America or the constitution. That said few Americans can stomach a war, they couldn't stomach what it would take to win a war in Vietnam and they cannot stomach what it would take to defeat and control south Asia. I have no faith in Harvard and Yale boys or their politics, they don't fight worth shit. What I learned growing up fighting in Little Rock is once a fight breaks out you fight to win today.

To get straight to the point siding with the Northern Alliance/Karzai to start a war with the Taliban was a giant fuckup but its done, no going back now.

Again you do not deny that you prefer the Taliban in power.  Do us a favor, and don't refer to yourself as an American.  And don't talk like you've been there, because we all know that you haven't.

Not all terrorists are Muslim, and not all Muslims are terrorists.  But boy, there sure are a lot of Muslim terrorists for it to be a peaceful religion...

Do you consider car bombs an acceptable way of promoting peace?

I don't care who is in power in Afghanistan. I just believe it would be better to deal with Pashtun but they (Generals and Politicians) are going to have to sort this all out. Im not arming or training anyone over there and I support the U.S. Army and whatever fight they have going, right or wrong.

I'm on record for years now saying I was against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, that had nothing to do with religion but matters of practicality. The simple fact is the average American does not support action nor do they care for confrontation on a small or large scale.

I consider car bombs a practical weapon. If we Americans were fighting the armed British military today as we did leading up to our independence we would be using car bombs and IEDs. We Americans tend to blow the hell out of anything and everything, trying to pretend we are above using any weapon no matter how crude is just bullshit.

Having morons try to paint me as a terrorist and or sissy just comes with posting on the net. It has nothing to do with the real world, my life, my service to the United States, nor my loyalty to the United States.

The problem with your example is that no one is fighting the U.S. for their independence.  Blowing up Iraqi Police, or Iraqi Army, does nothing for Iraq's independence.  So...this would be the part where you talk about things that you don't know anything about, because you don't have the guts to go be there and experience them.

You painted yourself as a terrorist by trying to deny that Islam is a violent religion, and by not coming outright and condemning Islamic terrorists who act against the United States.  You can't be loyal to the United Stats as it now stands, because it would conflict with your loyalty to Islam, unless you believe that instituting Shari'a is part of your "duty" to the U.S. 

I don't know why you would say someone painted you as a sissy...do you feel like a sissy?

If Islam was a violent religion the entire world would be on fire and its not. What you fail to realize is that as long as Muslims are allowed to pray and practice their religion they are forbidden to fight authorities and governments. Thats what bothers me about weak typist like yourself Kent, you believe that only you and your home boys are Americans and fail to realize that America includes diverse groups of people, not just ignorant white boys.

get some good tips on how to learn, train, teach CQC and hopefully save their life in a actual combatative situation-
