Kent, Being in the Army in Alaska only qualifies you to be in the Army in Alaska. Most of the things you need to learn to live up there are not taught by the Army. Their primary concern is fighting, supporting a war, not training ice guerrillas for long term lone wolf survival strategies in a arctic environment.

As far as Government types in Canada not being concerned about you having firearms, great myth your using to prepare for a fantasy life where you know what the hell your doing.

Hock, Yukon Territory is Canada, Yukon Charley where I lived for a time is Alaska, United States. I have spent months alone in Alaska including winter with no electric. According to Alaskan standards I'm a expert on Alaska. Happy to compare notes with anyone on that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

So what you're trying to tell us Byran, is that Kentbob, AKA Superhero, got no specific arctic training when he was in Alaska. And just how the fuck do you explain that?
I grew up in Buffalo NY. I've had all of the "arctic" training that I'll ever need. I knew where the best taverns were, and the distances by foot in between them
